MARAFA CANYON — HELL'S KITCHEN

Departure at 15:00 from your hotel to reach the Marafa canyon, known as "Hell's Kitchen" or Nyari ("the place that breaks by itself"). Marafa is located about 30 km north-east of Malindi.

Here you can admire a spectacular geological depression formed over millennia by the erosion of limestone rock. The colours of the canyon change magnificently with the sunset light — one of the most breathtaking visual experiences on the Kenyan coast. Return in the evening.
